Dispatch Terms Explained
A dispatcher is a professional who finds loads, negotiates rates, handles paperwork, and coordinates logistics so carriers can focus on driving.
A rate confirmation is a legal agreement between the carrier and broker/shipper that confirms the agreed-upon rate and terms for a specific load.
Deadhead refers to miles driven without a paying load. Our route planning minimizes deadhead to maximize your earnings.
A factoring company pays carriers immediately (minus a fee) for their invoices, so you don't have to wait 30-60 days for broker payment.
An MC number is your operating authority from FMCSA, required for-hire carriers transporting freight across state lines.
A Certificate of Insurance proves you carry the required cargo and liability coverage. Brokers require it before you can haul their loads.
